A unique club
OM is a unique club at France. First and foremost, it is the only French club to have won the Ligue des Champions trophy, and will always be the first. Since its creation, the Phocaean club has worn a white home jersey. This color was chosen to represent the purity of Olympism advocated by Pierre de Coubertin. White shorts and blue socks appeared in the 1920s to symbolize the city's colors. French equipment manufacturer Le Coq Sportif was the first premier to appear on aOM jersey in 1969, until 1974, when adidas signed a contract withOlympique de Marseille.
