An eventful season in many ways for Fulham: Despite finishing 18th in Division 1, the club scored an impressive 71 goals - the fifth highest in the division - played its 2,000th league match and 1,000th home match against Aston Villa in November, and one of the club's players, George Cohen, reached 400 appearances for the club, another magnificent achievement by one of the greatest players in Fulham history, following his World Cup-winning performances forAngleterre that summer.
